Murder on the Train to London

November 7th, 1978.
Today we board the train to London and I’m in a cabin with three other people. Their names are Mark, Jack, and Felix. Mark is a waiter, Jack is a chef and Felix is the conductor. I headed to the massage trailer because my back was really sore, the massage guy was named Desmond Hung. I tried not to laugh at that.

Thirty minutes in, I get up and strolled to my cabin and what I saw I wish I could unsee it. Right there was a man with a bloody nose and a knife sliding out if his back. The glass from the window shattered everywhere and a gun in his hand.
“Someone has done this and there are only a few suspects and they are Mark, Jack, Felix and Desmond" I said.

"This man was clearly stabbed with this knife" I explained. "Mark, where were you while I was having my massage?" I asked.
"I was serving this couple some snacks" he replied.
"In the Morning?" I said confused. "Jack, where were you when this murder occurred?"
"I was cooking some breakfast for these two old folks in the other cabin. They were really cranky," he explained. I got some powder and sprinkled it on the knife to see if there were fingerprints. I had to blow the extra powder away to get a perfect result, then I got a brush and brushed it to see it better. The tape that I got I used to get the powder onto a black piece of paper and it was a swirly fingerprint. I checked each suspects fingers and there were two people with swirly fingers, Mark and Desmond.

"Felix, where were you and what were you doing when this crime happened?" I asked. I still had to ask everyone a question before I made my decision.
"I was playing chess with this old man," he replied.
"Ok, well this leaves us with one more question. Desmond, where were you when this occurred?"
"I was in the kitchen washing the dishes," He replied.

"Desmond Hung, you are under arrest for murder because you went to murder this man while you had another person massaging me" I stated. He was trialled and sentenced life in prison.

Math Problem

Today we had a math problem and we had to solve it by using strategies. Here was my question:
Devon’s family went out for dinner. The cost of the meal was $140. They gave a 15% tip.
How much did they tip?

What I did was I got 140x15= 2100 and then I divided it by 100 equaling 21
So the final answer was $21!!

Hammers

Hammers
The Evolution of Hammers
By Logan Neisimages (1).jpg

INTRODUCTION

Think for a minute, the world without hammers, nothing would be the same. Hammers make buildings, toys, cars, basically everything in the world.  I am here to tell you all about hammers.
THE EVOLUTION
The first hammer cannot be precisely of when it was made but scientists are sure that they have been made in the cavemen days. They looked like a rock on a stick or a bone.
The Second hammer was made with a handle but still with a rock made by the Romans. They used it to make shelters and they made great weapons.
Then there is today's hammer with the head and the claw with a coloured handle. The materials they used to make this was steel and plastic. Surprising fact that this hammer was made in 1840 by an American, but it was really different.

ANZAC Trench Letter

Dear, Family
April 25th, 1915

It’s been hours since I last had a talk with my friend. We are stuck in these trenches waiting for the signal. Many are dead and we are starving. My leg is wounded and I am slowly dying. I hope the day I die will not come.

Your sincerely, Logan N.

Jet ball

On Monday we had to play a game called Jet Ball, and this is my Writing about it.
Jet Ball
Writing Purpose: To inform other HNI students the rules of the game and to develop our creative thinking ability.
Audience: Mrs Ellmore and HNI students
IMG_0448.JPGIMG_0450.JPG

Use your creativity to come up with 3 alternative names for this very exciting game!
Jet Ball
4 ball 4 square
Battle of 4 armies

Imagine another class here at HNI has not played this game before. Complete the rules below to clearly describe the aim of the game and exactly what the rules are.
Aim of the game: is to get the least amount of balls in your square and to get the other team's the most amount of points
1.you have to get 3-4 balls inside one square by throwing the balls
2. If you get 3-4 balls inside your square you get 1 point
3. to win you need the least amount of Points
4. to play this game you need to be on your bottoms
5. If you get off your bottom you have to sit out for 5 minutes

Game Adaptations
Use your creative thinking to explore possible adaptations to this game to enhance both the fun factor and the ability to win the game. I have given you one example for each category but challenge yourself with other ideas and thinking.

Attack
Defence
Game Plan/Strategy
  • Use balls other than netballs that aren’t as heavy so the speed of the traveling ball also speeds up the game.
  • 4 players from each quad are allowed to sit on the bleaches to stretch their arms and intercept flying balls.
  • People on the perimeter of the quad pass the ball to someone closer to the bleaches to allow them to throw it further into the opponent's area.

Our Class poem

Our Class

  1. If our class was a type of vehicle, it would be a Toyota HILUX Because we are really tough
  2. If our class was a type of building we would be a skyscraper because we stand tall
  3. If our class was a meal we would be lasagna cause we’re steaming hot!
  4. If our class were an item of clothing we would be a
  5. If our class were something you find in our community we would be Te Mata peak because we are the highest

Top Spot

I see a huge land full of lights and trees with the sun setting. I tasted the sweet perfume of mountain grass as I rolled down And smelt mint growing. Birds were chirping and leaves were rustling. Grass itched my body and tickled my feet.
